The minimum age of all players on the date of the game at national centres is between 8-10 years old, depending on the location chosen and event type. For mini paintball the minimum age is 8 years old. For regular paintball the minimum age is 10 years old. This means that we consider regular paintball events to be suitable for 11th birthday parties, but not for 10th birthday parties (where some of those invited are likely to be 9 years of age).
The minimum age at most of the local paintball centres (indicated within the centre summary beneath the address on the icons on the locations page of this website) is 12 years old – as they do not usually provide full head goggles (something we consider essential for the youngest of players). Please check the minimum age at local paintball centres (should you wish to play there) by calling the booking office on 0843 178 2485.
The equipment and level of supervision provided by Delta Force makes paintball safe for any age of player – so it’s not the ‘danger’ involved that determines our age limit – rather the fact that the equipment is quite heavy, and it’s all a bit scary for very young children. Even adults find the hairs on the back of their necks standing-up when a wave of ‘enemy’ players surges towards them, guns blazing! Younger people may simply find this too intimidating. Some 10 year olds might find it too much as well, so if you are in any doubt, please drop-by one of the centres on a weekend and have a look for yourself – the Centre Manager would be delighted to arrange a tour for you.
Our insurance is not limited by age – people of all ages are fully insured. Please note some of our national paintball centres offer mini paintball for 8-10 year olds, so if your child is younger, you may wish to choose this event. Please speak to one of our event co-ordinators to find the closest venue that offers mini paintball.
